A children's workshop led by narrative sound artist Will Gore, where 8 to 12 year olds build story worlds in surround sound using their voices, simple objects and instruments. Drop off is preferred because room capacity is limited, and parents or carers who want to stay need to book an add on ticket.

A live foley workshop where young people aged 11 to 19 create their own cinematic sound effects in response to short film clips, using everyday objects and specialist microphones provided by Modus Arts, with no previous experience needed.

A family workshop inside Temporary Art Habitat, an interactive micro art space taking over the back room at Tough Love Records. Children aged 6 and over with an adult can make short field recordings, record their voice onto cassette in response to prompts, and add pen designs to a growing cardboard construction.

Part performance and part headphone experience, Myth Monster takes audiences through deep time with immersive sound, original music and the chance to move, dance and join in. Suitable for ages 8 and over, with sessions at 11am and 2pm. Tickets are free but booking is essential.

A bite-sized history of Hastings Castle with castle key holder Urs, a Hastings Jack in the Green giant carrier, qualified firefighter and forest school teacher. Blending history, folklore and modern-day culture, Urs takes visitors on an enlightening walk through Hastings' past. Tickets are £7.30 for adults and £5.80 for children aged 5 to 17 or Art Fund members, booking fees included, with children aged five and under free. Family tickets cost £13 for one adult with up to three children, or £22 for two adults with up to three children. Running on most Saturdays and Sundays until 27 September, but it's worth checking directly with the venue before visiting in case of changes. Booking is required.

Award-winning author, illustrator and storyteller Chloe Inkpen brings highly interactive, high-energy storytelling to Hastings Library, presented by the National Literacy Trust. Chloe brings her stories to life through a combination of drama, live drawing and art activities.
